2004 jefferson

The Jefferson Street Residence design is the result of a short-lived idea to purchase a rundown house on a narrow lot in Kansas City’s historic Westside.  Exploring the feasibility of the project, the home was designed for a soon to be married couple, their dog and cat and the potential for expansion to the family in the future.  The exterior design draws heavily from the look and feel of neighboring houses but gives them a bit of a modern twist.  Inside reclaimed wood floors and exposed joists give the house a sense of history and warmth while a sleek, open kitchen gives the space a modern feel.
